Behind the scenes

It is a supersized LEGO Halloween

As LEGOLAND Windsor gears up for Brick or Treat

A host of giant LEGO Halloween decorations have arrived at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, marking the beginning of its spooktacular Halloween event – Brick or Treat.

The gates at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort have been closed for two days (15/16 October), whilst the team carefully installed its new decorations around the theme park.

The giant Halloween decorations took a team of six, around 5.5 hours to install across the Resort. On display at the Resort for the first time ever is a supersize LEGO spider model weighing 36 kg and 383 times larger than the average house spider. The 2.3 metre awesome arachnid, sits on a 3 metre wide web which took modellers 2 months to make and has taken up residence on the Creepy Cobweb Castle, alongside two smaller spooky spiders.

Straight after their delivery and careful placement, the finishing touches were also made to three, giant 1.2-metre-tall pumpkin heads which will welcome guests as they enter the Resort. A staggering 3,500 real pumpkins have been installed by the team alongside a 1.2-metre-tall glowing LEGO ghost!

The spooktacular new additions join a host of fang-tastic activities for families to get their fangs stuck into (from 17 October- 2 November), including the Brick or Treat trail - which gives those little ghouls the chance to get their hands on a treat filled party bag, Monster Rocker’s Dance Party and LEGO pumpkin building.

Guests can also join the frightfully friendly Lord Vampyre for a monster party at his spooky new haunted home at the Haunted House Monster Party ride and enjoy spectacular fireworks displays with 3D glasses, turning the fireworks into exploding LEGO bricks.
