Magical LEGOLAND Christmas
Santa's Little Helpers transform LEGOLAND Windsor Resort
LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort’s expert Model Makers, along with assistance from some of “Santa’s Little Helpers”, have been hard at work ensuring that the park is full of festive sparkle.
The team have created spectacular Christmas LEGO® models, including an incredible eight-meter LEGO Christmas tree, two life-sized LEGO reindeer, a brick-built Santa Claus that took over 190 hours to build, along with exciting festive additions to Miniland including a bustling Christmas market in London’s Covent Garden.
Standing an impressive eight meters tall, the LEGO Christmas tree, built from over 300,000 LEGO bricks, returns to take pride of place at LEGOLAND for the Christmas season – with guests invited to build their own festive decorations to take home.
Other festive additions helping to spread Christmas cheer in the park include nine Christmas puddings made entirely of LEGO bricks, each weighing 4.7kg – the equivalent to nearly ten real Christmas puddings – two life-sized reindeer made from a combined 126,000 LEGO bricks along with a huge 54,000-brick Santa Claus weighing over 120kg for little ones to discover.
Whilst at LEGOLAND this Christmas, guests can discover an enchanted Christmas land, where little ones will meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto and receive a LEGO Christmas gift. LEGOLAND will also be offering a special Secret Shopping Service for all parents stocking up on LEGO goodies for Christmas.
When staff members hear the word ‘Rudolph’ they will jump into action, distracting kids with a range of diversion activities to allow parents to shop without worrying about their little ones getting a peek at their Christmas gifts.
Celebrities including Zara and Mike Tindall, and Strictly’s Graeme Swann, posed alongside a LEGO brick Father Christmas, pulled LEGO crackers and decorated Christmas trees with tiny LEGO snowflakes, before heading off with their families to explore the Resort on the first weekend of festivities.
