LEGOLAND Florida Resort's Christmas Bricktacular Includes New Show 'Holly Jolly Jubilee'

Tis the season and the Christmas Bricktacular at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort has already begun! The annual holiday event takes place on 10 dates in December, offering some very merry LEGO® builds, sweet holiday treats and resort-wide live entertainment – all included in theme park admission.

Adding to the merriment this year is a brand-new show, ‘Holly Jolly Jubilee’ where an awesome bunch of Christmas elves will get the entire family moving and grooving as they prepare to send Santa on his way. The musical has guests singing along to holiday classics with a unique LEGOLAND twist.

The show was created specifically for LEGOLAND Florida Resort Christmas Bricktacular event, aiming to bring to life a bunch of quirky elves in a creative, kid-friendly musical. The four-person team who wrote the new script are all Model Citizens at LEGOLAND and have backgrounds in theme park entertainment, including performance, show writing, direction and music composition.

The Holly Jolly Jubilee music was arranged and created by Matthew Claiborne also a Model Citizen, including both original songs specific to the show and characters. Matthew also created fun arrangements of popular Christmas songs the guests will know and love and provided musical direction to the cast during the four-week rehearsal process.

Amy Kaeberle, part of the writing team, choreographed and directed the show that involved a cast and crew of more than fifteen talented people. Amy collaborated with a technical team that provided scenic design, special effects and costumes to help bring Holly Jolly Jubilee to life and make sure it is truly Bricktacular!

Amy said, “As a director, the most rewarding part of the production process is finally seeing the characters and story you’ve created develop into a fun and heartfelt show that guests of all ages will walk away remembering.”

Take a sneak peek into their creative process and rehearsals, which start a month before the show launches, to see what preparing for a new theme park show is all about!
