A Night of Magic
Successful event for Merlin's Magic Wand
A new and unique Merlin’s Magic Wand charity event was hosted at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in September. All proceeds from the event went directly to the children’s charity to assist with funding their three magic spells, to help make the magic of Merlin Entertainments attractions accessible to more children around the globe.
The limited event was a unique opportunity for guests to experience the park after-hours with their family, with less than 1000 tickets available. Guests were able to choose from four different tiered packages with options to include VIP animal encounters.
The event included live entertainment for the whole family from arrival, with African drums and dancing, performances from the magic of bubbles duo, a silent disco and magicians teaching tricks during dinner! At the Gruffalo Arena, children enjoyed The Gruffalo Groove Show, character meet and greets, face painting and glow sticks.
The evening culminated with Charity Manager Erin Woods announcing the exciting news that the children's charity has appointed their first ever child ambassador, Zachy. Four-year-old Zachy undertook a challenging bike ride to raise funds for Merlin’s Magic Wand earlier this year.
There has been some great feedback from the families who attended the Night of Magic fundraising event including the following:
"Thank you SO MUCH for such a wonderful evening. We really enjoyed ourselves and my boys thought it was the best night out they’ve ever had! All our families had a wonderful night. The park was quiet which made a difference and having food and drink there was such a treat! The magician was out of this world, we could not believe our eyes. It was a magical night on so many levels and we are so grateful to you."
Merlin’s Magic Wand would like to thank all those that attended and everyone who volunteered to make it ‘A Night of Magic’ to remember.
