New Daft Punk Figures Set to Electrify Madame Tussauds New York in Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Random Access Memories

6x GRAMMY award-winning French electronic music duo Daft Punk will “Get Lucky” with yet another accomplishment in their storied career – brand new figures at the world’s greatest wax museum, Madame Tussauds New York. The figures will set up residency behind the DJ booth in the glamorous Glow Gala area, inspired by New York’s iconic gala scene, alongside some of the brightest stars like Ariana Grande, Matthew McConaughey, Rihanna and Beyoncé. Known for having no ropes or barriers, Madame Tussauds’ historic artistry once again gives fans a brush with fame and proves that the world’s biggest celebrities are “Human After All.”

To debut the new Daft Punk figures in front of the EDM faithful, Madame Tussauds partnered with French DJ collective Maison Disco to take over Brooklyn club staple, Avant Gardner, which was named Best Large Club by DJ Mag. The immersive event invited guests to a night of live electronic music with an elevated audiovisual experience, epitomized by the surprise dual-figure reveal, an unannounced moment in the spirit of Daft Punk’s flair for the mysterious. Both Madame Tussauds and Maison Disco paid homage to their shared French origins while captivating attendees with the timeless sound of ‘90s French House music and a retrospective of the DJ duo’s discography.

“As Daft Punk and Madame Tussauds both share French origins, this collaboration is a testament to the innovation and artistic brilliance of those that came before us and the ability of music and art to transcend global boundaries. We’re honored to welcome fans from ‘Around the World’ to the attraction to see their idols ‘One More Time’ and celebrate the legacy of Daft Punk and French House music.”

Daft Punk, born Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, rose to prominence in the '90s and 2000’s, raving through successive decades with smash hits like “One More Time,” “Around The World,” “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” and “Technologic” that still enjoy mass airtime today. After the release of their 2005 album, Human After All, the group took an extended break before returning with their magnum-opus Random Access Memories in 2013. Behind the global #1 hit record “Get Lucky,” which featured fellow wax figure recipient Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk would go on to sweep the 2014 GRAMMY Awards with wins for“Album of the Year,” “Record of the Year,” “Best Dance/Electronica Album,” “Best Pop/Duo Performance” and “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.” Following this massive success, the two global icons have since kept a relatively low profile and announced their retirement as the duo in 2021, marking the culmination of a 3-decade run that gave the world some of the most influential dance tracks of all time.
