'Belieb' it or not: Justin Bieber is coming to Amsterdam

Madame Tussauds Amsterdam is pleased to welcome a new wax figure of Justin Bieber. The thirty-year-old pop artist Justin Bieber broke through with his song 'Baby' more than fourteen years ago and conquered many a chart with it. His wax figure can be seen at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam from 5 June.

Justin Bieber, the Canadian pop artist with world-famous hits such as 'Stay', 'Sorry' and 'Baby' and married to model Hailey Bieber, will get a wax figure for the third time in Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. Justin Bieber literally and figuratively grows with his fans, because his wax figure was also in the attraction before, namely at the age of 17 and 21.

The fans of Justin Bieber, also known as Beliebers, felt that the current image of Justin Bieber no longer matches his current looks. The new wax figure is based on a look from Justin Bieber's own 29th birthday party – which had a carnival theme. The wax figure of Justin Bieber wears a pale yellow t-shirt, with a gray sweater over it, worn with blue tie-dye cargo pants, white New Balance Vision sneakers, and a blue Palace cap, worn backwards. The New Balance sneakers are from the collection of Jaden Smith, a close friend of Justin Bieber with whom he also released the single 'Never Say Never' in 2011. The wax figure was festively unveiled last night together with Justin Bieber's biggest Dutch fans at a private party, where many fans were allowed to admire their pop idol on the basis of a snack, drink and a dazzling performance by a cover artist who sang Justin Bieber's most famous hits.

"'Three times is a charm!' We are very happy to have the opportunity to let Justin Bieber grow in Madame Tussauds Amsterdam and to be able to represent him in a more up-to-date way. Justin's fans felt that the image didn't look like him anymore and we're happy to listen to that. That passion and dedication of the Beliebers will always be there."

Annemiek Dolfin, Head of Marketing, Madame Tussauds Amsterdam

Justin Bieber can be admired at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam from today and stands alongside other musical greats such as Ariana Grande, Harry Styles and Beyoncé. Dutch artists such as Snelle and Davina Michelle can also be found here.
