Let’s Start Construction! LEGO® Discovery Center Hamburg Receives Its First LEGO Brick Delivery

Opening in Spring 2024, Germany’s first next-generation LEGO® Discovery Centre today celebrated its groundbreaking in Hamburg's landmark HafenCity, receiving its first delivery of iconic LEGO bricks.

The 3,000 square meter family attraction will have 12 unique zones with all-new experiences centred around learning through play for families with children aged between two and twelve. Families will also discover exciting and immersive activities such as creative workshops where children can let their imagination run wild with the more than 2 million LEGO® bricks at the brand-new attraction.

General Manager of LEGO Discovery Center Hamburg Miriam Wolframm and Quarters Manager for Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier Theda Mustroph were joined by LEGO-loving little ones at today’s ceremony, counting down together to signal the start of construction on the eagerly awaited attraction, which was marked by the releasing of thousands of colourful LEGO bricks. Sharing her excitement for the future of the attraction, Miriam Wolframm also announced that they will be searching for a Master Model Builder to guide guests through their bricktastic adventure.
