LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Istanbul celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Republic with a never-to-be-forgotten event. The Turkish Flag, consisting of approximately 350 thousand LEGO® bricks and took 1 month to be made, broke the record and won the title of the biggest flag in the world with the attendance of Guinness specialists.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Istanbul carried out a significant and unforgettable project on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. The Turkish Flag, prepared specially for the 100th anniversary and consisting of approximately 350 thousand LEGO® bricks, became the biggest country flag after the measurement and the confirmation of the Guinness specialists.

"It was made in 760 hours by 6 thousand people"

The Turkish Flag, made of LEGO® bricks, was a result of a long working. 6 thousand people visiting the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre worked on the project for 760 hours under the leadership of Master Model Builder Deniz Can Doğan. The children, chosen to be a part of the work consisting of approximately 350 thousand bricks, supported the forming of these red-white bricks for nearly 1 month. The LEGO® devotee children between the ages of 3-14 greatly contributed to the breaking of the world record of the biggest country flag made of LEGO® bricks.

With its title, the biggest LEGO® flag of the world, the Turkish Flag draws attention with its 4.40 x 7.34 meters measurements. Visitors of the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Istanbul in Bayrampaşa Forum Shopping Center will be able to see the huge Turkish Flag.
