SEA LIFE supports the EU Beach Clean-up

SEA LIFE is supporting the EU Beach Clean-up campaign to raise awareness of the dangers litter and plastic create for our oceans.

SEA LIFE Blankenberge recently supported in the rescue of Simba, a seal who was found on the Belgian coast with a plastic ring around his neck. The aquarium’s specialist SOS team at Belgium's only Seal Rescue Centre provided him with months of intensive care before being able to release him – but not every creature is so lucky.

To raise awareness of the dangers litter and plastic create for our oceans and the precious life within them, SEA LIFE is supporting the #EUBeachCleanup. For more information on the campaign and to join in, click here.

SEA LIFE champion the need for seas which are properly protected, free from plastic pollution, and full of diverse life. Working with partner charity the SEA LIFE Trust, we want to protect the oceans and the amazing life within them, and help maintain the balance in the ocean ecosystems on which we depend.
