We are proud to share that Alton Towers Resort is now a rapid Covid-19 test centre, with the Resort playing their part to help keep their local communities safe.
The Resort as joined forces with Staffordshire County Council to facilitate rapid COVID tests for local residents, as well as staff training to deliver in-house rapid testing for employees moving forwards, in a bid to help keep the local community and workforce safe.
On Friday 15th January the Resort facilitated the Council’s roll out of rapid testing of a-symptomatic residents to help identify those who may unknowingly have the virus. It is believed one in three people who have the virus don’t show symptoms. This testing will help identify these people and prevent further infections.
In additional, the Resort’s medical team and a number of managers were trained by the Council’s team to help oversee weekly tests on fellow employees to help give teams the confidence to come into work and carry out their essential work knowing that they are not putting their families or their colleagues at risk.
The testing for the local community will take place at the Crooked Spoon Restaurant at the Resort on Friday and is available only for people who live in Farley, Alton and Oakamoor.
