That's a wrap! Epic London Eye celebrations raise thousands of pounds for charity

To celebrate turning 20 the London Eye held four days of unmissable experiences in what can only be described as the ultimate birthday party!

The London Eye successfully raised over £21,000 for Merlin's Magic Wand charity with the sale of tickets for their special immersive pod experiences. All proceeds from the 20th anniversary events went to the children's charity that supports children facing challenges of serious illness, disability or adversity around the world.

"It’s such an incredible amount of fundraising and it will fund the cost of one of our amazing Merlin’s Magic Spaces projects around the world."

Erin Woods, Merlin's Magic Wand Charity Manager

Across four days, the special immersive pods meant visitors had the opportunity to experience a traditional British pub in a pod (featuring barman Martin Kemp!), indulge in some craft beer tasting, take a yoga or spin class, enjoy afternoon tea or wander into Royal Parks in full bloom. There was even a special surpise set from DJ Jax Jones!

The London Eye was conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects and has become a global symbol of the city and icon of the South Bank. Over the last 20 years the London Eye has grown to become the UK’s most popular paid-for attraction and a ‘must-do’ experience for millions of international visitors each year.
