Penguins back at Chessington
Humboldt Penguins return to modified Penguin Bay
Following the sad death of eight Humboldt Penguins at the end of June, which were killed by an urban fox at Chessington World of Adventures, we're pleased to welcome the remaining penguins back to Penguin Bay. Since the incident, we've been working with the Royal Borough of Kingston on additional measures to secure Penguin Bay against predator species, such as foxes, but also enrich the environment for our Humboldt Penguins, while still giving our guests the opportunity to come face-to-face with these popular species. Director Marianne Mcgoldrick and Zoo Keeper Lisa Britton explain more.
